6 Days Uganda Chimpanzee And Gorilla Safari
This is an unscheduled tour and private but also be booked as a group. It includes 1 gorilla and 1 chimpanzee permit per person. It features tracking gorillas at Bwindi, chimpanzees at Kibale and a walk through the famous Bigodi swamp on the outskirts of Kibale Forest. It drives through Ishasha and a chance to see some of the big game animals of the savanna.
Day 1-Arrive and be picked up
Arrive at Entebbe and meet our representative or guide who will transfer you to the guesthouse in Entebbe for a night before the start of your gorilla abduction chimpanzee adventure.

Day 2-To Buhoma
Today after breakfast at the guesthouse, meet your guide for a transfer to Bwindi, about 9 hours away but interesting one. If you need a pre-night in Entebbe, reach us for options or arrangements.

Day 3-Gorilla tracking
It’s a gorilla tracking day. Have breakfast and head to the Buhoma sector offices for gorilla tracking. The trek can be 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family that day and it starts after a briefing by the park ranger. Once you find it, you’ll be allowed an hour to stay, watch, photograph and learn about the gorillas before you return. The balance of the day you can visit the community or a group of the Batwa (pygmies) who were the inhabitants of the forest before the gorilla conservation project. Learn about their way of life and later back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4-To Kibale from Bwindi
A journey from a primate home to another. This is an amazing one as it goes through Uganda’s savanna park: Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have lunch along the way and arrive at the park in the afternoon. Relax at the lodge from the drive and prepare for next day.

Day 5-Chimpanzee tracking and Swamp walk at Bigodi
Early rise and have breakfast before the transfer to the park headquarters. There you will get a short introduction and briefing before you head on for the chimpanzee trek.
The perennially popular primate walk provides the chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Kanyanchu’s groups are open to human presence – some have been observed for over 25 years – and the chance of locating them is about 90%.
This biologically diverse park also provides home to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species (nocturnal and diurnal) some elephants and antelopes. There are around 370 species of birds, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
Return to the lodge, have lunch and visit the community in Bigodi with your guide and a local community guide.

Day 6-Back to Entebbe
This morning, have breakfast at the lodge and head for Entebbe. You will have lunch along the way and discuss with your guide incase of any interests along the way. Arrive at Entebbe in the afternoon.
